Flanked by two of his eight screen 'wives', Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers - who plays Henry VIII in the historic drama - turned heads at a launch party for season three in New York this week.
The 31-year-old, slim-hipped and gorgeous in a pale grey suit, was escorting his young British co-stars Tamzin Merchant, left, and Annabelle Wallis to the party.
Both Tamzin and Annabelle, who's the niece of the late Richard Harris, star opposite the Irish actor in the new series, with Tamzin making her debut as his fifth wife Katherine Howard and Annabelle stepping in to replace Anita Briem as Jane Seymour.
There is another new addition to the show coming up, too. Joss Stone is to make her TV debut playing wife number four, Anne of Cleves.
With three marriages and a beheading on the cards, the next series offers plenty of action plus, Jonathan reveals, a change in the persona of the leading man. "He looks different, and I think in season three Henry realises just how powerful he is and everyone will suffer," star he says.
