Less than a week after she was forced to cancel two days of engagements after being struck down with acute bronchitis the Duchess of Cornwall resumed her official duties on Tuesday. She attended a London memorial service for the victims of the recent devastating bushfires.
Dressed in a black skirt suit and a stylish monochrome hat, the 61-year-old accompanied Prince Charles to a moving ceremony in Westminster Abbey also attended by Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and wife Therese.
Also among the estimated 2,500 people at the memorial event – which also featured the laying of wreaths and a didgeridoo performance by UK-based Aussie entertainer Rolf Harris – were actor Richard E Grant and Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah.
While her husband went on to host a Prince's Trust charity event later that evening, Camilla played it safe by opting to stay home and rest.
