Most of us long for the summer to come, but when it's here it brings a number of problems, not least for those of us whose skin tends to be greasy. The heat sends the sebaceous glands out of control, the skin is oilier than usual and there's a tendency for more pimples and blemishes to appear. If you add in a humid atmosphere and increased perspiration, it can take the shine out of the pleasures of summer.

Don't despair! Check out these tricks to restore that healthy glow.

Use lighter cosmetics
Exfoliate once a week
Use water based cleansers
To hide the shine, use a translucent oil-free loose powder
