Notting Hill actress Julia Roberts has made the surprising announcement - she has become a practising Hindu after shooting her new film Eat, Pray, Love.
Born to a Baptist and Catholic couple in the US, Julia has now placed her faith in Hinduism, a religion prominent in South Asia.
She told Elle magazine that she now goes to the temple to "chant, pray and celebrate."
She also disclosed that she and cameraman husband Daniel Moder take their three children - Hazel, Phinnaeus and Henry- there to worship regularly.
Julia added that she wishes to be reincarnated as "something quiet" after her stressful celebrity lifestyle.
She said: "I'm definitely a practising Hindu. Golly, I've been so spoiled with my friends and family in this life. Next time I want to be just something quiet and supporting."
