The charges brought against two people accused of trying to extort money from John Travolta following the tragic death of his son have been dropped.
On Monday, the prosecution submitted a motion to dismiss the case at the request of John and his family.
John's lawyer said that the case against Pleasant Bridgewater and Tarino Lightbourne had caused the Travoltas "unbelievable" stress, adding that they wanted to put it behind them.
The defendants had been accused of attempting to extort $25 million from the Face/Off star.
It was in January 2009, that John and Kelly sadly lost their eldest child Jett.
The 16-year-old, who suffered seizures since the age of two and had a form of epilepsy, died during a family holiday in the Bahamas.
Happily, the Hollywood couple, who have a daughter Ella Bleu, announced in May that Kelly is pregnant with the couple's third child – a little boy.
