Shoe tycoon Tamara Mellon is preparing to sell the Jimmy Choo label.
She is reportedly close to appointing financial advisors to sell the £500 million company.
The 43-year-old owns one fifth of the fashion label, which specialises in shoes and handbags.
Its products are favoured by a range of celebrities, including Julia Roberts and Beyoncé Knowles.
Tamara met Malaysian cobbler Jimmy Choo while she was working at Vogue in the early 1990s as Accessories Editor.
At the time Jimmy was only able to produce small quantities of his hand-made shoes at his base in Hackney, East London, but with help from Tamara and a £150,000 loan from her father, the Jimmy Choo brand was launched in 1996.
Today the company owns stores all over the world and attracts customers unfazed by the £1,000 plus price tags.
