It was far from a Perfect Day for Susan Boyle on Wednesday, when she was forced to pull out of singing on hit US show, America's Got Talent.
The 49-year-old runner-up of last year's British version of the programme arrived in Los Angeles to perform a Lou Reed tune.
However, she was told that permission had not been granted to cover the hit song, Perfect Day.
With only two hours before the scheduled filming, there was not enough time for Susan's backing singers to learn a new tune.
A source close to the star said: "Susan is very sensitive and is genuinely upset. This has really knocked her confidence. She was in a car on the way to the studio when she was told the news and was totally devastated."
