Eighties pop singer Sinitta became the first celebrity to leave Dancing on Ice at the weekend after a crucial mistake during the skate-off.
Simon Cowell's long-term friend faced former swimmer Sharron Davies as the pair skated for survival after coming in the bottom two after the judges and public's scores were combined.
But the 41-year-old ripped her professional partner Andrei Lipanov's trousers with her blade when a lift went wrong.
The panel said they had to base their decision on the skate-off and all, except new addition Emma Bunton, decided Sinitta should leave the show.
After being told she was out, the shocked 41-year-old said: "I had such high hopes for this. I was starting to love it. I can hardly speak."
Skating star and mentor Jayne Torvill echoed her disappointment saying the performance had been going "beautifully" up to that point.
The first live show of the year saw the seven female celebrity contestants impress the judges, and next week it will be the turn of the men.
Those ladies who are joining Sharron in the next round are stoic contestant Heather Mills, EastEnders' Daniella Westbrook, actresses Hayley Tamaddon and Emily Atack – Paul McCartney's second cousin – and Gordon Ramsay's wife Tana.
