Lindsay Lohan must appear in a Beverly Hills court on Friday to face the consequences of failing a recent drugs test.
And at the end of the week, Judge Elden Fox will decide whether or not to send the actress back to jail - she could face up to 30 days if she is found in breach of her probation.
On Monday, Judge Fox issued a bench warrant for the 24-year-old requiring her to appear in court on the appointed day, or face arrest.
She will remain free pending that court hearing.
He had previously threatened Lindsay with 30 days in jail for each violation of her probation.
The Mean Girls star was sent to prison for two weeks this year after breaking her probation of a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence.
She then spent another 23 days in court-ordered rehab, completing her stay at the end of August.
But this week, Lindsay admitted she had failed a random drugs test.
"Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away overnight," she tweeted.
"This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences."
