Celeb-inspired gift guide: daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt

04 DECEMBER 2012

Early this November Hollywood's golden couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took their six children to a frosty village in the heart of rural Kent to post those all-important letters to Santa.

Having made headlines around the world since her birth in Nambia, 2006 Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is one of the most photographed young girls in the world, often being papped on the family's outings and travels.

Not quite your average girly-girl, Shiloh is a true daddy's girl. Known for copying Brad's model style with chopped blonde locks the six-year-old is often spotted sporting older brother Maddox's hand-me-downs.

So, what do we suppose to be on the Christmas wish-list of this renowned tomboy?

In addition to visiting the rural village of Littlebourne in the UK the famous family have also spent plenty of time this year at Angelina's long-term residence in Southern France as well as enjoying plently of water-filled fun in Cumbria's Lake District and children's theme park, Legoland.

It won't come as a surprise to any parent to expect a bit of mess amongst these various excursions. But, Shiloh can still roll with the waves thanks to Trunki's splashproof backpack for the beach, pool and school. Designed in the shape of a funky fish or whale, the Paddlepak is the perfect partner for little explorers who need to keep their wet clothes watertight.

And when Shiloh isn't busy being sporty and energetic it also appears that the six-year-old takes after her mother demonstrating a philanthropic side. This October, when 14-year-old Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai was attacked, Angelina composed a powerful and heartfelt essay that discussed her own daughter's reaction to the event.

Touchingly, Shiloh's response was a mixture of articulate curiosity and compassion. An avid animal lover the youngster "asked the practical question of whether Malala had any pets, and if so, who would take care of them?"

So there's no doubt that Trotter's very special limited edition Jellycat elephant would put this young humanitarian's mind at ease. Named Mahi, meaning "great" in Nepalese, this adorable cuddly toy has been created in partnership with the CAIRN Trust where all proceeds go towards building another Trotters school in Nepal for some of the world’s poorest children.

With biological sisters, twins Knox and Vivienne, and three other adopted siblings, brothers Maddox and Pax and sister Zahara the Jolie-Pitt household is bound to be a constant scene of fun and games.

But to keep them all occupied during the Christmas holidays there's nothing better than a spot of team play. Interactive games such as those for the Wii and Xbox consoles are perfect for encouraging children to work together in an active environment whilst being surrounded by their favourite cartoon animations.
