London-born Ben was raised, along with his two younger sisters, by his lecturer father Michael and teacher mum Marion in Nantwich. He studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge and was halfway through a PhD in quantum physics when, in 1992, he met Alexander Armstrong. Abandoning science for comedy, he spent four years touring pubs with Alexander before the pair did first full-length show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 1994. Three years later they'd landed their first TV series, Armstrong And Miller, which ran for four seasons before being re-commissioned in 2007 by BBC1 as The Armstrong And Miller Show. Ben's other TV credits include a starring role in The Worst Week Of My Life and Primeval. In 2001, he appeared on the big screen a a small time criminal in Steve Coogan's The Parole Officer and two years later played a Rowan Atkinson sidekick in Johnny English. Also a talented musician, Ben - who once dated Rachel Weisz - is married to fellow actress Belinda Stewart-Wilson. The couple's son, Sonny, was born in 2006.
