Cancer forecast for Monday February 24, 2020

Bad behaviour is often caused by fear. Fear of how we will be perceived. Fear of failure. Fear of letting someone down. Why admit to a 'weakness' when we can hide our vulnerability behind a dismissive, devil-may-care attitude? Yet, this kind of approach risks hurting the very people we most treasure: those whose opinions we respect, whose advice we value, and whose generosity inspires us. Today, you can take the bait, or rise above provocation. Answer antagonism with kindness.

Your Weekly Love Focus Horoscope: When someone craves an activity or has a strong desire for something, we sometimes add the suffix 'oholic' to describe them. Chocoholic, shopoholic, workoholic. It's usually intended humorously, though the idea comes from addiction. Alcohol (and other stimulants) aren't the only sources of intoxication for you this week. There are positive ways to feel elevated to new heights. Just a smile can transform a moment into a heady experience. Charm, of which you have plenty, will work wonders.

Your Weekly Horoscope: Some people like to know all the details about everything, but you are usually content with guesswork and estimation. Your enhanced intuition enables you to work things out in an almost inexplicable way. Yet this week, as you assess an important situation, the New Moon encourages you to be slightly more precise and meticulous in your approach. If you take the time to count all your chickens, you'll know that you don't need to wait around for any more to hatch. You've got exactly what you need.

Dreams. Desires. Cravings. These can be dangerous things. Once someone finds out what they are, we become vulnerable... open to manipulation. What's worse, is that we're capable of manipulating ourselves; we make promises using our aspirations as bait to make us do things we don't really want to do; if we get this, then we'll finish that. A long-held dream is almost within touching distance. Under this weekend's Dark of the Moon, don't let short-term desires obscure your long-term vision.

I found my son watching Michael Jackson's video for Thriller the other day. He was mesmerised by the jerky, zombified movements and the dancing corpses. No wonder people consider zombies to be the scariest of all supernatural beings. They represent us, emptied of our consciousness and humanity. They reflect a human tendency to go through life without being awake to what's really going on. The Jupiter-Neptune link brings a wonderful awakening today. You can let go of a fear.

If I told you that you needed to steal a car, today, what would you do? You'd probably pull a face and think I was having a funny five minutes. What you wouldn't do, is go out and steal a car. Unless, I suppose, you were to meet a car thief who somehow threatened you into helping them to commit a grand theft auto. But is intimidation, or menacing behaviour ever a reasonable excuse for bad behaviour? Be prepared to question even the most watertight demands on your time today.

Even though we know that life isn't a game, we spend a lot of time acting as though it is. When we find ourselves dealing with new scenarios, we feel under pressure to learn the rules as fast as we can so that we can apply them. Until we've worked out what's considered to be winning or losing, we can't tell how well we're doing. As you set out firmly on your own quest today, take a second to re-familiarise yourself with the rulebook. There's a lot of room for manoeuvre, but one rule is set in stone.

One of the first lessons that parents try to instil in their kids is the importance of sharing; that being cute, doesn't mean they can always have their own way! Yet, if we were all taught this before we could walk, why do so many of us still struggle with it? Can anyone claim to be totally open, fair and free with their time, love and money? And, if not, what can we do to put ourselves on the right path? Fair and objective judgement is the key to resolving a challenging situation, today.
