He may have been pipped to first place by Newcastle's Joe McElderry, but the future is still bright for Essex boy Olly Murs.
The 25-year-old, Simon Cowell's protoge on the talent show, has signed not one, but two, record deals to cement his rising music career.
Simon's labels Syco and Epic - which also look after JLS - are each set to help Olly make a name for himself in the charts.
"Olly is a big personality and we hope to make a big record showcasing his obvious talents," says Epic boss Nick Rafael.
Olly is said to be working on his debut album in preparation for this year.
