Andrew Lloyd Webber renews 40 year deal

Thursday February 25, 2010

Musical maestro Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has renewed his record deal with Universal, the recording company he has worked with for 40 years.

The theatre star's new long-term contract will be one of the music world's longest legal binding deals in history.

"I am delighted to have renewed my partnership with Universal Music," Sir Andrew says.

"They have been wonderful custodians of my music for over three decades, and it is a relationship that I and my colleagues at RUG (his production company Really Useful Group) value most highly.

"Together we have taken the music around the world."
