Kate, who is very close to her family, was spending the weekend at their home with William when her sickness meant they were forced to go to hospital. Dressed down in jeans and trainers, William was dropped off at the London hospital around 11:30 am. The Prince, who enjoys a good relationship with his in-laws will join them in looking after Kate's health during her pregnancy.
Without Kate the Middleton's, who include Carole, Michael, Pippa and James, were last seen together in late-October when Pippa's party guide, Celebrate, was launched.
The Duchess of Cambridge's baby will be the first grandchild for Carole and Michael, who are said to be "elated" at their daughter's happy news. Their large family estate in Berkshire also boasts plenty of rooms and garden space for the youngster to play in during countryside visits.
William and Kate are due to move into their Kensington Palace apartment in April, when the Duchess is estimated to be around seven months pregnant.
